A dream destination
It's no secret that Harstad is the dream destination for every adventurer. Just a short drive away from the city center there are a number of beaches and islands, and many great opportunities for kayaking. For this kayak trip, the guide will decide which route is best suited for the trip in question based on the weather and wind conditions.
You will be on the water for approximately one hour, before disembarking on one of the beautiful beaches in the area. There you can take a leisurely stroll along the beach, and take a break to enjoy the food you have brought while you socialize with the other participants or just explore. When we are ready and you have recharged your batteries, you will start the trip back to the starting point, where the exciting day ends.
Training and safety
Before you go out on the water, you must change into a dry suit, so that you keep warm in the icy sea. The guide will then give you a brief introduction to kayaking and a safety briefing, before the adventure can begin.
Our guides are certified by the Norwegian Paddling Association and will show you tips and tricks on both single and double kayaks, in addition to ensuring safe and secure paddling for our guests.
Of course, we always bring the necessary safety and rescue equipment, as well as a VHF radio for emergency communication for our guests' safety.
