Northern lights hunting from Harstad through the island paradise.

Tonight we start our exciting journey from Harstad, a charming town in northern Norway, known for its natural beauty and rich cultural history. We will embark on a hunt for the northern lights - also known as the Aurora Borealis - one of nature's most magical phenomena.

We drive around Hinnøya, Norway's largest island on the mainland. This beautiful island offers dramatic landscapes, with majestic mountains, deep fjords and peaceful valleys. While searching for the Northern Lights, we will pass through some of the most spectacular areas, where the dark winter landscape creates a perfect setting for the magical light show in the sky.

The Northern Lights are unpredictable, but Hinnøya's location gives us good chances of catching a glimpse of it. Along the way, we will stop at several places where the conditions are best to see the light, away from the city's light pollution. While we wait for the northern lights, we can enjoy the fresh, clear air and perhaps warm ourselves with something hot to drink.

If we're lucky, we'll see the dancing greenish, purple and pink streaks of light moving across the sky. It's a sight that can take anyone's breath away!

Be patient and remember that aurora hunting is also about the experience of being out in the arctic nature. Even without the Northern Lights, there is much to admire here – the starry nights, the deep silence and the raw beauty of the nature around us.

Remember to dress well, as the evenings can be cold, especially when we are waiting for the northern lights to appear.
